Frequently asked questions

What Kitiquette does, what it doesn't, and how it handles your data.

Which HubSpot plans does Kitiquette work with?

Sales Hub Starter, Professional and Enterprise. You don't need Revenue Hub or any other add-on.

Do I need HubSpot Quotes?

No. Kitiquette adds line items to the deal. If you do use HubSpot quotes, a quote created from the deal starts with those line items, discounts included.

Does it create quotes, contracts or invoices?

No. It builds valid configurations on the deal. Your ERP, accounting system or HubSpot quotes take it from there.

What kinds of rules can I set?

Options are grouped into choices (required or optional, single or multi-choice). Rules are tags on products: can't combine with, needs one of and needs all of. Options that conflict with a choice are grayed out with the reason; a missing requirement is named in the panel, and a build that breaks a rule can't be added to the deal.

Can an option have its own options?

No. Kitiquette has one level: a kit and its options. Options inside options aren't supported.

Can a price depend on the combination?

Not on the combination of options: HubSpot owns your prices, and a build's total is the sum of its parts. Volume pricing is supported per line, like 10+ 5% off and 50+ 10% off, on any option or kit.

How are discounts controlled?

Each kit can have a maximum discount from 5% to 50%, and optionally a higher one that needs approval: the rep requests it in the cart, the approvers you name (or your super admins) get an email, and they approve or decline on the deal; the rep is emailed the decision. Both are checked again on the server when the build is added, and nobody approves their own request while another super admin could. These are guardrails, not an audit control: reps can still edit line-item discounts in HubSpot itself (lock that with HubSpot field permissions if you need a hard limit), and anyone who can edit deal properties could change the approval record.

Who can add a build to a deal?

The deal owner, or someone on the owner's team in HubSpot. Deals with no owner are open to everyone. Only super admins can change Kitiquette's settings.

Does it handle multiple currencies?

Yes. Prices show in the deal's currency, and an option without a price in that currency is grayed out, so HubSpot never receives a line item it would refuse.

How big a catalog can it handle?

Up to about 1,000 options per product line and a few hundred kits. For reps, 15 to 20 options per choice is a comfortable maximum. Plans are priced by the number of reps, with no product limits; see pricing.

How long does setup take?

About 30 minutes plus the time to tidy your price list. Products are marked with pick-lists, and HubSpot's own import loads a whole price list at once; the setup guide walks through it. A setup service is available from $1,500.

Where is my data stored?

In your HubSpot account. Products, deals, carts and line items stay there. Our server handles each request in memory and stores no CRM records; the access token HubSpot issues is stored encrypted.

What happens if I uninstall?

Kitiquette's cards disappear and it loses access at once. Your products, the CPQ properties and every line item stay in HubSpot.

Who counts as a rep for pricing?

Anyone who adds a build to a cart or a deal with Kitiquette during the month. Admins who only set up products don't count.

What happens when the trial ends?

Choose a plan to keep going. If you don't, Kitiquette stops working in your account, and your products, settings and line items stay in HubSpot.

How do I get help?

Email support@kitiquette.com. Every email reaches Kitiquette's founder, who builds it.
