Comparison

# Kitiquette vs HubSpot quote rules

Both stop reps from selling combinations that don't work. They work in different places, on different HubSpot plans. Here's how to choose.

## The short version

**HubSpot quote rules** check a quote before it's published. They come with Revenue Hub Enterprise.

**Kitiquette** helps reps build the configuration on the deal itself, with choices, quantities and capped discounts, and adds the result as line items. It works with Sales Hub Starter, Professional and Enterprise, for one price per HubSpot account.

| | Kitiquette | HubSpot quote rules |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Where it works | On the deal: a configurator card builds line items | On quotes: rules check the quote's line items |
| HubSpot plan | Sales Hub Starter, Professional or Enterprise | Revenue Hub Enterprise, with a core or Revenue Hub seat |
| Who sets the rules | A super admin, with pick-lists on products | A super admin, with a rules editor (or Breeze AI) |
| Products that need or exclude each other | Yes: can't combine with, needs one of, needs all of | Yes: require or prevent products sold together |
| Guided choices for the rep | Yes: groups of options, required and multi-choice, in your order; conflicting options are grayed out with the reason, and missing requirements are named before adding | No configurator; rules respond to the line items the rep adds |
| Quantities | The rep enters a count where you allow it | Minimum and maximum quantities, volume requirements |
| Discount limits | A maximum discount per kit, an approval path above it, and volume pricing by quantity, all re-checked on the server | Discount limits and pricing boundaries |
| When a rule fails | The build can't be added to the deal | A warning, or the quote can't be published |
| Quote documents and e-signature | No | Yes, through HubSpot quotes |
| Pricing | From $79 a month per HubSpot account ([plans](https://www.kitiquette.com/pricing?hsLang=en)) | Part of Revenue Hub Enterprise, priced per seat |

## Choose HubSpot quote rules if

- You already have Revenue Hub Enterprise and send quotes from HubSpot.
- Your reps add line items themselves and you only need a check before the quote goes out.

## Choose Kitiquette if

- You're on Sales Hub Starter or Professional, or you don't want a Revenue Hub seat for everyone who builds deals.
- Your products are kits with choices, and reps need guidance while they build, not only a check at the end.
- Your deals go to an ERP or accounting system for the order and invoice, not to a HubSpot quote.

## Can I use both?

Yes. Kitiquette adds ordinary HubSpot line items to the deal, so a quote created from that deal starts with them, and your quote rules still check it. See "Quotes" in the [setup guide](https://www.kitiquette.com/setup-guide?hsLang=en).
